Giannis Could Reshape The NBA If He Leaves Milwaukee

We are in the NBA era of super teams. Giannis’ contract decision will bring a new chapter in the NBA’s ever going super drama.

Many NBA fans root for the notion of a relatively unknown player being drafted 15th overall as a raw talent that ascends to put a small market team on the map. We want him to stay with that team and upset the giants of the league.

The reigning two-time MVP and Defensive Player of the Year has performed beyond what I feel even the Bucks organization could have imagined. The 4-year $100 million contract he signed that started in 2017 seems like one of the biggest bargains in basketball. As his current deal ends after the 2021-22 season, a question looms; “Does he stay with a team that will be difficult to land another top talent, or does he go to a team with one or two All-Stars and be part of a potential dynasty?”
