Dwyane Wade Talks Retirement, Jimmy Butler, LeBron James, & More With Complex Sports

Complex Sports sat down with Wade to talk about life after basketball, Jimmy Butler’s reputation, how watching the NBA now is different, and what he would do if LeBron were to ask him to come out of retirement to join forces in LA.

Enjoy this interview with Dwyane Wade, via Complex Sports:

It’s been several months now since you retired. The new NBA season has started. Aside from keeping busy with your business ventures, what’s retirement been like so far? – Complex Sports

“When I walked away from the game of basketball, I walked away knowing I did everything that I could to be successful. I was okay with walking away. So it’s fine for me. I’ve been able to spend a lot of great time with my family and I’ve been able to be a fan of the game, as opposed to when I was playing. I would be preparing all the time to play our next opponent. That consumed my life. Having an opportunity to still be connected to the game of basketball and be able to focus on my passions, I really have no complaints, man.”  – Dwyane Wade

Again, we’re happy to see Dwyane is at peace with his retirement. Flash is undeniably a future Hall of Famer, therefore he has no reason to feel that there is any unfinished business left on the court.
