Adam Schefter reported that the Panthers have had mutual interest in Dwayne Haskins. Haskins would most likely be the backup to Teddy Bridgewater. Haskins and Bridgewater have similar play style and both play better with talented running backs in the backfield. The Panthers have been searching for a franchise QB after Cam Newton went downhill. If the Panthers choose to sign Haskins and Bridgewater doesn’t excel as their starter next year, Haskins could get a big opportunity to become a starter again.
