During an overtime loss for the Warriors to the L.A. Clippers on Monday night, an argument broke out between Draymond Green and Kevin Durant in the middle of a time-out. The argument stemmed from Green not passing Durant the ball after pulling in a rebound, and the disagreement apparently continued in the locker room with Green not backing down even when other teammates questioned his decision.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Warriors announced that Green would be suspended without pay for one game. Yahoo’s Chris Haynes reported that Green called Durant a “b*tch” repeatedly in the huddle, prompting the Warriors’ decision.
The Draymond Green one game team suspension will cost the forward $120,480. This is a team issued suspension and the Warriors will not receive a luxury tax credit.
