While Gary Payton was quick off the drive and a creative passer, he was known for his elite defense. One of the best defenders at point guard, ever, Gary gave the opposing teams guards problems night in and night out. It’s a shame Gary Payton and the Sonics weren’t able to pull through and beat the Bulls in the 1996 NBA Finals; fortunately, he able to win a championship with Dwyane Wade and Shaq in Miami.
