Everyone is taking Khabib seriously after he furiously mauled Conor McGregor at UFC 229. This is a guy who grew up wrestling bears and training with adults while in grade school, he is born to kill. You’re taken down defense is irrelevant when fighting Khabib; he’ll always find a way to hit you with a double leg. Right now, many consider The Eagle to have the best ground and pound game in the history of the UFC. Because Khabib has not fought any renown MMA fighters outside of Conor McGregor, he does not make it into our Top 5.
