Zach LaVine was traded to the Chicago Bulls prior to the 2017-18 season in a deal that sent Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves. LaVine was still recovering from a knee injury and did not suit up until January that season.

In 52 games played with the Bulls in 2018, LaVine has become their featured scorer and is averaging 20.5 points per game.
