Mark Jackson was still starting games in the NBA well into his 30’s due to his incredible gifts as a passer. In fact at 36 years old, Jackson started all 82 games for the New York Knicks and averaged 7.4 assists per game. His vision as a point guard set up the perfect secondary career for Jackson as a coach. Jackson was the head coach for the Golden State Warriors for three years before he was let go, but he is credited for the development of future all-star players like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
