3. Steve Nash

Steve Nash was a great point guard for his entire NBA career, but he took his game to another level in his second stint with the Phoenix Suns. Nash, who was drafted by Phoenix, returned to the Suns in 2004 and went on to have eight of the best years of his career. During that eight-year stretch, Nash averaged well over 10 assists per game and led the league in assists five times. He also won back-to-back MVP’s in 2005 and 2006. Nash finished his career with 10,335 assists, one more than Mark Jackson for third on the all-time list.
