According to Phil Jackson, Jordan’s retrieving method worked, and Rodman was once again with his team, destined to win another Finals series:

“Dennis came back and joined the team and that’s the way it went that year.”

The Bulls ended up winning that series 4-2 with Jordan averaging 33.5 points per game and Rodman grabbing a total of 50 rebounds in six games.
