Steve Kerr Is “Almost Embarrassed” About Promo Graphic For “The Last Dance”

The idea originates from the original picture featuring Toni Kukoc and Ron Harper on it, instead of Jackson and Kerr. It’s safe to say that Kukoc and Harper were much more critical pieces to the team than Steve Kerr.

It’s not that hard to figure out why ESPN chose to replace the other two with Kerr. Although he was a member of that team and did contribute, he is now well-known for being the head coach of the Golden State Warriors. This is a strategical move to grab the new generation’s attention to the series.

It may be a smart marketing move, but it does seem wrong in the sense that the other two were vital pieces to the team, and were still removed from the promotional graphic. The best part is the fact that Kerr even seems to agree.

Kerr joined Zach Lowe on his podcast, The Lowe Post, and revealed that he’s almost embarrassed that ESPN decided to take that approach.
