It’s pretty likely that Bryant was checking in on Shareef because the UCLA college student-athlete announced last week that he wanted to transfer schools.

Unfortunately, Shareef never received a response as Bryant’s helicopter crashed before he got a chance to see Shareef’s message.

Like most of us, Shareef has been struggling emotionally with the knowledge of Bryant’s death. He has posted a series of emotional tweets in which he referred to Bryant as his “uncle” and paid tribute to his “cousin” Gianna.
