Pelicans Trying To Teach Zion How To Run And Walk Differently

Per ESPN:

“After the Pelicans have finished a shootaround or practice in the past week, Williamson has stayed back with a group of coaches and staffers and worked for anywhere from an hour to 90 minutes, walking through plays and running up and down the court.”

A source told ESPN that the Pelicans would prefer Williamson to participate in at least two or three full practices doing full work before he making his debut. Those practices will not happen until after the new year.

Williamson has proven himself in high school, then college, so it’s certain that he is eager to play and prove himself in the highest level of basketball on the planet — the NBA. The Pelicans could also use him as soon as possible as their record is 9-23, and second from last in the Western Conference.
