New York Knicks: Select Few Players Desire To Be Traded

Here is how I look at the situation. A player — such as Randle — can be extremely talented, but if they are surrounded by chaos in the front office, and teammates who are not driven to win a championship, you will quickly see their talent fade away, which is why a trade benefits some players.

Think about Brandon Ingram, who played for the Los Angeles Lakers from the time he was drafted until being traded this summer for Anthony Davis. Ingram had star potential, but the stage was too big for someone just entering the league. Now that he’s in New Orleans, and the stage is smaller, he is averaging 25.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.

Just because some Knicks players want to be traded doesn’t mean they have anything against the organization, but maybe they feel like they can reach their max potential with another team, and ultimately, compete for a championship — which is what it’s all about.
