New York Knicks: Select Few Players Desire To Be Traded

Although the Knicks have been able to find some wins after the firing of coach David Fizdale, including an encouraging one over the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday, this has not stopped players from wanting to be traded by the organization.

According to SNY’s Ian Begley, “there’s no reason to think the Knicks won’t make and take calls on any players on the roster, with the likely exception of RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson.”

In recent weeks, a few players have expressed their desire to be traded, doing so in private ahead of the upcoming Feb. 6 trade deadline.

The Knicks hold a record of 8-24, and have fell well below their level of expectations for the season. Many of the players are on player-friendly deals, able to leave after the 2019-20 campaign due to a player option on their contracts, per source.
