New York Knicks Deny Richard Jefferson’s Statement About Offering Him A Contract

It’s unclear why Jefferson stated this, maybe he just wanted the publicity, or he wanted fans to think that he still had an option to play.

It’s possible that he was just bashing on how bad the Knicks have been for the past few years, and trying to paint a visual as to why players do not want to play for them.

Whatever the reason, Jefferson is now retired, and not relevant to today’s NBA anymore. With that being said, he’s just an analyst now — who are never 100% credible.
