NBA Prohibits Players & Teams From Using Auto-Delete Messaging Apps
After the league launched an investigation to dive into and dissect the “tampering” process, they found that many players and team executives/ coaches used auto-delete messaging apps to communicate their offseason decisions with one another.
The most popular app among the athletes and teams was Signal. This app has an encrypted auto-delete feature that prevents any messages from being traced or revealed to the public. Other messaging apps that you might be more familiar with such as WhatsApp apparently aren’t as secure as Signal.
