NBA Playoff Preview: The Play-in Tournament

If you don’t believe me then just take a look at the standings. The seventh through tenth seeds in the West as of right now are, in order: The Dallas Mavericks, the Memphis Grizzles, the Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs.

Imagine a Luka v. Ja Morant matchup for the seventh seed? Then, say the Grizzles lose that game and then have to face off against the Warriors. You’re saying you wouldn’t be excited to a watch Ja Morant face off against Steph Curry for the eighth seed? That’ll be some entertaining basketball to say the least. Oh, and Zion and the Pelicans aren’t out of the race in the West yet and we all know that Zion is much watch television.

Plus, the bottom of the East isn’t looking too bad either. The seventh to tenth seeds, in order, in the are the Miami Heat, the Charlotte Hornets, the Indiana Pacers and the Chicago Bulls.

Jimmy Butler, Dominates Sabonis, Zach Lavine, I mean, it’s a whose who of all-stars. Plus, the Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors are right behind the Bulls for that tenth spot. The Wiz would bring even more star power with Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook.

Overall, the play-in tourney is shaping up to be quite the exciting event. Hopefully, for NBA fans, this will be something that’s implemented for years to come.
