NBA Considering Incentives for Midseason Tournament Winner

When asked about the midseason tournament, Houston Rockets player, P.J. Tucker was against it, responding, “You fight for an NBA championship. I don’t want to play for anything else. Like, what else is there? There’s nothing else. It’s like a consolation or something? I don’t know. You play in games to win a championship. Period.”

The earliest that any votes could be made would be April 2020. However, no changes will be made until at least the 2021-2022 season.
