Kyrie Irving & Kevin Durant Weren’t Interested In Playing For Kenny Atkinson

Firing Kenny Atkinson appeared to be a complete shock to the NBA world.

Coach Atkinson coached the Nets to the playoffs last season and, many believed he played a large part in landing KD and Kyrie in Brooklyn in the ’19 offseason.

Nevertheless, the Brooklyn Nets decided to move on from Atkinson, and apparently it’s largely because of Kevin Durant & Kyrie Irving.

Shams Charania and Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reported that both superstars had little to no interest playing for Coach Kenny Atkinson next season.
