Kevin Durant Claims Kyrie Irving Is Better Than Allen Iverson

Irving has racked up many awards during his nine seasons of play. Some of those awards include being a six-time All-Star and winning one All-Star MVP. Irving was also the Rookie of the Year and has made the All-NBA team twice since entering the league. Irving also won a championship during the 2015-16 season against a Golden State Warriors team who broke the best season record at 73-9 and went up 3-1 in the NBA Finals.

However, Iverson accomplished some things that Irving still has yet to do, such as winning a regular-season MVP, making the All-NBA team three times (Kyrie’s almost there!), and winning four scoring titles. Unfortunately for Irving, he’s not a primary scorer, and especially with Durant now being his teammate, Irving can probably forget about ever winning a scoring title.

Both players are well-respected and will both go down as two of the greatest guards to ever play the game. It will be interesting to see how Durant’s game impacts Irving’s, and if we could soon be watching the best dynamic duo in the NBA.
