Kevin Durant Claims Kyrie Irving Is Better Than Allen Iverson

Considering that Durant could not play due to a ruptured Achilles’ tendon that he suffered in the most recent NBA finals, and Irving struggling with shoulder problems all season, we still have yet to see a true glimpse of what the Brooklyn Nets will be like when these two are on the floor together.

Although they still have yet to play together, it’s clear that the respect for each other is already there. It was in 2017 when Durant appeared on The Bill Simmons Podcast, and praised Irving’s skills, calling him better than the one and the only, Allen Iverson.

Both Iverson and Irving are respected in the NBA, but Irving does have one thing Iverson was never able to get his hands on. A championship trophy. Of course, you could make the argument that Iverson never played with a LeBron James, and that’s true, but Iverson was his own monster on the floor.
