Kent State Provides 193 Students In LeBron James Program With Free Tuition

However, like any scholarship, there are standards the students are held to in order to keep their financial aid. The students are required to keep a certain GPA, stay in good standings with the university, as well as participate in some community service.

What is even more interesting about this scholarship is the fact these students are the first group of children incorporated into LeBron’s “I Promise” program. Since then, the network has grown to build its’ own school. Just like the children who attend the I Promise School, these students also have the privilege of being able to attend the University of Akron for free.

LeBron is well-known for being able to help his community in any way possible. However, it’s not only his community, but his nature is to be a person that cares about others to lead his followers into doing the same.
