Jason Witten Could Be Considered As Next Cowboys Head Coach

Witten did have a career that many would not have expected of him when he first came into the league in 2003. He was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the third-round, and was ultimately the 69th pick overall.

Throughout his entire career, Witten has 1,215 receptions, 12,977 receiving yards, and has received 72 touchdowns. In his final season this year, he had 63 receptions, 529 receiving yards, and received a total of 4 touchdowns.

Is Witten actually qualified to be a head coach? This is a question that has to be asked. Obviously, he’s got the experience, but taking on a head coaching job in the NFL is a huge change for a former tight end. The best plan would be for him to start as a tight end coach so he’s able to start out with a small group of people, helping them refine a craft that he perfected.
