Former WNBA MVP Maya Moore Left The League To Get Her Friend Out Of Jail

Unfortunately, this case isn’t quite closed yet. Technically, the case can be appealed (or retired) within a 45-day period.

However, that possibly reportedly seems unlikely. Irons’ attorney is now aiming to get him released on bond.

Maya Moore grew close to Irons and his family while doing volunteer prison work and through the church. This was just a few years after Jonathan Irons was found guilty by an all-white jury of burglary and assault, even though there were no witnesses, fingerprints, blood or saliva, or any form of DNA evidence.

Maya has been committed to freeing Jonathan Irons, an innocent man, especially during this past year. Finally, her efforts have paid off.
