The Time Dwyane Wade’s Goggles Were Rejected By The NBA

Wade had been trying out goggles in games prior because of the migraine problem that has plagued him for years. Spoelstra said that the Heat organization had been sending pictures to the NBA to get them approved, which they originally were, but the first time the officials actually seen them is when he showed up wearing them.

The ruling is similar to the one that the NFL made prior to this happening, prohibiting quarterbacks from wearing shields that were too dark.

Wade claimed that he had been feeling better, but when he got off the plane after showing up in New York for their game, he experienced blurred vision again and had to take more medication.
