The Time Dwyane Wade’s Goggles Were Rejected By The NBA

Wade explained that the bright lights on the NBA court gave him migraines which is why he planned to wear the tinted goggles, but he was unable to get the relief he sought after the NBA rejected them.

NBA officials said that it was an unfair advantage to Wade for wear goggles because his opponents could not see his eyes.

Head coach of the Miami Heat, Erik Spoelstra was not happy about the fact that Wade was not allowed to wear them, and spoke to the media on this:

“Now there’s gogglegate… An unfair advantage by the opponent not being able to see your eyes. Tinted too much — like a car.”
