Chicago’s 15 Best NBA Players of All-Time

8. Doc Rivers
Doc Rivers

A hometown favorite.

Statistically, Doc Rivers didn’t have the greatest playing career, but he was trusted as a floor general whom was the leader of the Atlanta Hawks for 8 seasons.

On the other hand, Doc Rivers as a coach is a Hall of Famer. His Celtics team with KG, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Rondo dominated the East in the mid-late 2000s. Doc Rivers won a ring with the Celtics in 2008 and appears to be on his way to potentially win another one with Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers.

7. George Mikan
George Mikan, (1924-2005), American professional basketball player, playing for the Minneapolis Lakers, c. 1950.

I’d be surprised if you heard of him before, but he was one of the best scorers during the 50’s.

He only played 6 seasons before retiring, but during those 6 seasons he won 3 Scoring Titles, 5 BAA/ NBA Championships, was an All-NBA/BAA selection every season, a Rebounding Champion, 4x All-Star, an All-Star MVP, and now a basketball Hall of Famer.
