Bam Adebayo Cursed At Pat Riley And Erik Spoelstra In Pre-Draft Workout

Until the last six weeks of last season, Bam was in the process of developing as a backup center to the Heat’s former center, Hassan Whiteside. Adebayo’s success in his 2018-19 campaign and Whiteside’s trade during the offseason allowed Bam to take his game to another level this year.

This season, Adebayo is averaging 15.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game. It’s pretty impressive considering that Bam is only in his third year in the NBA. Those numbers have significantly improved since his draft.

Bam will join the All-Star game alongside his teammate Jimmy Butler, who the Heat was able to acquire in the offseason. Their on-court personalities are similar, which is a key as to why the Heat have been so successful this year.
