Anthony Davis Had Knicks on his Trade List

In January, Davis’ agent, Rich Paul, informed the team that Davis was not going to sign an extension and wanted to be traded. Davis had originally said he would be fine with being traded to any team but then cut down his list in February. Included in his list, was the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks.

During an appearance on the Boomer and Gio radio show, Davis said, “Every team was on my list at the time, and then I kind of cut it down, and [the Knicks] were one of the ones that made the final cut.”

Davis later added, “I talked to some guys over there who were still there, and I feel like playing for an organization like that, especially New York, it’s be something that I was always interested in. You see Melo was there and the history that the Knicks have and a historical franchise it is, I thought it was something I could definitely be a part of.”
