Anthony Davis Comments On Playing For The Bulls

New York has not been the basketball mecca in years.

When was the last time the Knicks won a Championship? Have they won an NBA Finals since Nam?

That was initially a joke, but fact check, they haven’t*

So yes, New York is no longer the “Mecca” it once was. But now, Anthony Davis plays for one of the most successful franchises in NBA history, alongside of LeBron James no less. The easy answer would have been showing the Lakers love.

However, I understand AD’s comments here. He’s saying that many great players have not only played in Chicago but were born and/or raised there. Shouting out the Chi-town grown. There’s nothing wrong with that at all, it was just a risky move if you care about the media twisting the words and turning the narrative.

The good news for Lakers fans is, why would he leave for the Bulls? The Bulls are not a contending team, nor do they have LeBron James. And most of all, Anthony Davis listed the Lakers as his most preferred team to be traded to in 2018-19. There’s no reason for that to change.
