Yesterday, North Carolina dominated Florida State, making it difficult to bet against the ACC’s top team competing for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Nevertheless, Pittsburgh presents an interesting opportunity to fade the Tar Heels, with the Panthers having much at stake. 

A win over UNC could secure their spot in the Big Dance, and their offensive firepower, led by players like Blake Hinson, Carlton Carrington, and Ishmael Leggett, suggests they can stay competitive. Although an outright upset might require some luck, the Panthers have the tools to keep this matchup competitive.

If Tyler Kolek remains sidelined for Marquette, we should probably think again with our pick. Without him, they’re a totally different team, and not for the better. Marquette’s offensive and defensive adjustments have faltered in Kolek’s absence, dropping them to 41st overall. 

That said, Providence does hold an advantage, showcasing a promising lineup and a solid defensive strategy. While Devin Carter’s presence may pose a challenge, Marquette’s struggles in generating consistent offense raise concerns. However, I like Providence’s defense enough to get it done.
