Why the Brooklyn Nets Should be the Favorites to Win it All

Defensive issues, Health concerns, and playoff questions? Absolutely, BUT they still got THEM DUDES!

The Brooklyn Nets have been the talk of the 2020-21 NBA season thus far. Their new “Big Three” of Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving have fit better together than anyone could have ever expected.

Since acquiring Harden from Houston, the Nets have been on an absolute tear. In the 27 games since Harden made his Nets debut, Brooklyn has gone 20-7, including winning 13 of their last 14 games.

They’ve gone from a contender to a potentially all-time great team. Yet, still some NBA insiders, experts and fans have their concerns about the new-look Nets. For instance, their defense this season has been complete trash.

At one point this season, the Nets had the lowest defensive rating in the history of the NBA, 119.9, according to StatMuse. The History of the League!

Calling their defense trash might be an insult to trash. Their defense has been like the type of trash that when someone takes the bag out of the can, the bag immediately starts leaking everywhere with gross juices from last week’s McDonald’s and smelling like rotten limburger cheese.

Sorry for putting that image in your head. Got a little carried away, but you get the point. Anyways, moving on now.
