Why EA Sports Canceled NBA Live 20

The company claims they are canceling NBA Live 20 because they plan to change the series to fit the next generation of gaming consoles. But, how does that justify canceling a video game that was about to be released for current gen. consoles?

Canceling a game about to be released and forfeiting the possible profits makes no sense, unless the game was faulty, and the company wanted to avoid the backlash.

IGN believes it is “unclear” whether NBA live will even continue as a brand. This isn’t the first time EA Sports canceled an NBA Live video game.
