2. The Phoenix Suns

The Suns are an obvious pick as a team to look out for this season. They added Chris Paul for god’s sakes. Just because it’s obvious doesn’t mean it’s wrong, so Phoenix, yeah.

Phoenix made headlines for trading for Chris Paul a month ago. The Suns are a franchise that has taken lot of heat over the past decade for the moves they’ve made, and for good reason, but this was a great move for Phoenix.

Chris Paul will fit in perfectly in the desert. Paul will take pressure off of Devin Booker. Paul has proven over his years in the league that he can play with or without the ball in his hands. That boads well for Booker who can move to his more natural two-guard position, but whose also known to love having the ball in his hands.

Booker isn’t the only beneficiary of CP3’s presence in Phoenix. De’Andre Ayton may be the biggest winner.

Paul is truly a magician in the pick-and-roll. Watching him read defenses, create for his teammates, and do whatever he wants on the floor is a thing of beauty. CP3 will create easy buckets for Ayton. Look for De’Andre Ayton to have a big year, and possibly be an all-star.

Another part of Chris Paul presence that 9isn’t talked about enough is his leadership. We saw have much he helped Oklahoma City last season. There should be no doubt he can do the same in Phoenix. With guys around him like Jae crowder, Dario Sarcic, and their first round draft pick Jalen Smith, the Suns are a legit playoff contender. Look for Phoenix to make the playoffs for the first time in a over a decade.
