According to a report by Seth Davis of The Athletic, UCLA has decided to fire head coach Steve Alford, following a 15-point loss to Liberty, marking four losses in a row for the Bruins.

Assistant and former East Tennessee State coach Murry Bartow will take over for the remainder of the season.
It’s not a surprise that Alford was let go as the team is 7-6 this season with losses to two mid-major programs in Belmont and Liberty. In five-plus seasons, he went 124-63 with a 55-35 mark in conference play, but never took the Bruins past the Sweet 16.
