18. Andre Ingram Makes his NBA Debut

Andre Ingram is like the basketball version of Crash Davis. Ingram has played in the G League, formally known as the Developmental League, since 2007 in hopes making the NBA.

Ingram has made the most three-pointers in league history and is fifth all-time in scoring. Ingram finally got the call to the NBA when the Lakers signed the then 32-year-old for the last two games of the season.

Ingram’s NBA debut after the All-Star break ended up being the best for any player in 50 years as his 19 points were the most scored since Danny Finn scored 23 points in his debut in 1953. He was also the oldest American rookie in the NBA since 1964.
