16. Joe Mauer

Joe Mauer played basketball, football and baseball in high school and was extremely accomplished in all three. Mauer averaged over 20 points per game as point guard and was named to the All-State team in his last two seasons.

As a senior quarterback, Mauer threw for 3,022 passing yards, 41 touchdowns and threw just five interceptions. Mauer was also the 2001 Gatorade National Player of the Year.

Despite committing to play college football at FSU, Mauer ultimately chose baseball for his career and was drafted with first overall pick by the Minnesota Twins out of high school.
