The Time LeBron James Crashed A Wedding
During April of 2012, a former lead writer for Sports Illustrated named Lee Jenkins was able to interview LeBron James in a hotel in Jersey City. Jenkins kindly asked LeBron if he would sit down with him for another interview right after he wins the NBA Finals, assuming he was going to win his first Championship.
LeBron James was flattered as we imagine him being and accepted.
Now fast forward to July and LeBron James and the Miami Heat are now NBA Champions, and LeBron was sure to keep his promise to Lee Jenkins. The two met at the Ritz in Coconut Grove for their interview. LeBron showed up with his family; Lee Jenkins recalls Bronny being so young at the time.
Initially, Lee planned on having the interview in a conference room at the Ritz, but the space was unavailable. Therefore, Lee thought it would be a good idea to go outside to the Veranda since it was a ‘beautiful day outside.’
