The Time Larry Bird Humiliated Dennis Rodman

The first thing is that Bird was not intimidated by anyone. The second thing about him is that he was a trash-talking king.

Five-time champion, Dennis Rodman, tells a story of Bird combining these two qualities when they faced off against each other.

It was a game in which Bird had made four consecutive shots over Rodman, before walking over the Detroit Pistons’ head coach, Chuck Daly, and shouting:

“Who’s guarding me, Chuck? Is anyone guarding me? You better get someone on me or I’m gonna go for 60.”
