Cedric Maxwell was an All-Star level talent, that accepted a role to make way for Hall of Fame players like Kevin McHale and Larry Bird to lead the Boston Celtics. Maxwell won two NBA championships with the Celtics and showed how great of a player he was in the 1981 NBA Finals, for which he was named the series MVP.

Maxwell’s best regular season came in 1978-79, when he averaged 19 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
