The Cleveland Cavaliers traded their 1982 first round pick to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Don Ford. Hindsight is 20-20 but Ford never amounted to much of a player and that pick that they traded turned into the first overall pick in the draft. The Lakers used that pick to select James Worthy.

Worthy would go on to have a Hall of Fame career, in which he won three championships as a Laker.
