12. Phoenix Suns trade Isaiah Thomas to the Celtics

Isaiah Thomas was acquired by the Phoenix Suns for the 2014-15 season, as they planned to pair him with fellow point guards Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe. Juggling the three guards did not work for the Suns and they ultimately traded both Dragic and Thomas in the middle of that season.

Thomas was sent to Boston in exchange for Marcus Thornton, who is now in the G League, and a first round pick. Thomas would go on to have two All-Star seasons with the Celtics and he averaged 28.9 points in the second of those seasons.
