Shaquille O’Neal Owns The Biggest Purchase In Walmart History

In an interview on HBO’s “Real Sports,” Shaq said after the Miami Heat traded him to the Phoenix Suns in 2008, he didn’t have anything for his new apartment, so he turned to Walmart to get some essentials.

Once he got there, O’Neal said he spent $70,000 buying up everything from furniture to clothes to amenities. I spend more than I’d like when I go to Walmart, but it’s hard to imagine spending a total of seventy grand.

O’Neal claimed he was impatient, and that’s why he settled for a quick shopping trip to Walmart.

I’m very impatient. So they already got the apartment set up, and I ain’t got nothing. I ain’t go no towels, I ain’t got no pots and pans … I’m Walmart’s biggest customer … Pans, socks, underwars, tank tops, TVs, printers, computers.”
