Sacramento Kings: How NBA Executive Jeff David Stole 13 Million Dollars

On Aug. 19, 2015, David invoiced the company on Sacramento Kings letterhead, payable not to the Kings but to his SSP account, ESPN reports.

David immediately started revising the paperwork, forging the Kings’ president’s signature, and sending a digital file back to Kaiser.

The Sacramento Kings, already being in possession of the original contract, was never aware of the altered version.

That September, David’s SSP account was filled with $4.4 million.
