RUMOR: Houston Rockets Could Trade Russell Westbrook

At this point in the season, right before the trade deadline, we must ask ourselves, is Russell Westbrook and Harden enough to win in the western conference, much less the NBA championship?

Unfortunately for the Rockets, Westbrook has not provided the desired upgrade over Chris Paul — not yet, anyways. The Rockets have played better on the floor when Harden is not playing with Westbrook versus when he does play with Westbrook on the floor. Westbrook-led lineups have struggled when Harden is on the bench.

Although unloading Paul’s contract was essential to the trade, the Rockets had certainly hoped that Westbrook would help them more.
