Rissa’s Expert Picks (March 3rd)

An analysis of my favorite daily sports betting picks. It’ll be a mix of spreads, over/under, money line, and props bets varying from sport to sport.

Another day closer to March Madness and the fight continues for some teams. On the other scope, NBA playoffs will be approaching soon as well and teams are looking to finalize their seedings. Lets get to some of those games below!

Purdue @ Iowa -5 (9pm EST)

O/U 142.5

In the last three meetings between these two teams, Purdue has dominated by an average of at least 16 points. I would say Iowa is prepared to show who the better team is and especially at home. The Iowa Hawkeyes have won 13 straight home games and are 11-2-2 ATS at home. They win by an average of 14.2 points at home as well. Purdue is 1-6-2 ATS on the road in their last 9 games. Head to head, the home team and the favorite are 5-1 in their last 6 meetings. I like Iowa to win big and cover.
My Pick: Iowa -5

TEXAS @ OKLA -7 (9pm EST)

O/U 133

Both teams are on the bubble to make the NCAA tournament. The Oklahoma Sooners have won their last 2 games and the Texas Longhorns have won four straight games. The Sooners are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games. The Longhorns are 4-0 ATS in their last overall games. They have been playing good defense in those last 4 games, keeping their opponent under 60 points. The Sooners have scored less than 66 points in three straight games which plays well into Texas scheme of keeping it close and low scoring. I’ll take the points with Texas.
My Pick: Texas +7

LAC @ OKC +4 (8pm EST)

O/U 227.5

The LA Clippers are looking to build on their 4-game win streak on the road against the OKC Thunder. OKC has won five of their last seven home games. The Clippers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as the road favorite. The Thunder, however, are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games as the home underdog and 38-17 ATS as an underdog overall. One betting stat in the Thunder’s favor is in the last 7 meetings in OKC, the Clippers are 1-6 ATS and 4-9 ATS in the last 13 meetings. I like the Thunder with the points to keep it close.
My Pick: OKC +4

TOR @ PHO +4.5 (9pm EST)

O/U 224.5

Since winning 15-games straight, the Toronto Raptors have lost four of their last six games. They will be looking to avoid losing four straight on the road versus the Phoenix Suns tonight. The Suns haven’t been any better losing 10 of their last 14 games and will also be looking to avoid a fourth straight loss. The losses for the Suns come from the Warriors and Pistons while the Raptors losses came from the Nuggets and Bucks. A little context to show the type of teams these losses come against. The Raptors have beaten the Suns five straight times as they are the better team. I’ll take Toronto on the road with the points.
My Pick: TOR -4.5
