Rissa’s Expert Picks (Feb 20th)

An analysis of my favorite daily sports betting picks. It’ll be a mix of spreads, over/under, money line, and props bets varying from sport to sport.

The NBA is back tonight! I’m sure I’m not the only one who missed it. Now that the All-Star Break is over, I expect teams to be bringing it every night as the race for the playoffs is on. Let’s not forget that March Madness is also around the corner. Tonight, I’ve added some of that NCAAB love as I didn’t want to go too crazy with my NBA excitement. Let’s get to it!

MIL @ DET +13 (7pm EST)

O/U 226

Our first game tonight we have the Milwaukee Bucks traveling to take on the Detroit Pistons. Milwaukee is favored by 13 points which seems like a lot but Giannis is back after celebrating the birth of his son. Detroit has traded Drummond and bought out Reggie Jackson out of his contract. Those key pieces missing, I don’t see this game staying close. The Bucks are 57.4% ATS this season while Detroit is one of the worst teams at 37.5% ATS this season. The Bucks have won 27 games by 13 points or more and I see that continuing tonight. Betting money on the Bucks versus bad teams this season has been easy money.

My Pick: MIL -13

BKN @ PHI -7.5 (8pm EST)

O/U 214.5

It seems like we’ve been saying this for most of the season but we have a Brooklyn Nets team that will be without Kyrie Irving. They go on the road to face the Philadelphia 76ers. With no Kyrie, I’m not sure how the Nets have enough talent to keep up with Philly even without Simmons tonight. The Nets have lost six of their last seven at Philly and have failed to cover six of their last seven. In their last 3 matchups, the 76ers have won by an average of 18.3 points per game.

My Pick: PHI -7.5

Ohio St @ Iowa -2.5 (7pm EST)

O/U 143.5

Another day closer to March Madness, we have a very important Big Ten Conference match with these two teams. The Iowa Hawkeyes have won 11 straight home games, are 9-2-2 ATS at home this season and 10-3-2 ATS when favored this season. Ohio State is terrible at defending the 3-point line and Iowa can heat up from that distance especially at home. I like the close spread at home for the Hawkeyes.

My Pick: Iowa -2.5
