Musician-Humanitarian Filip Filipi is Collaborating With Nike to Build 1 of 1 Eco Basketball Court

Revenue generated from Nine Roses will be used to supplement the remaining basketball court expenses and labor costs. According to Filip, everything is moving at an ideal pace and he is hoping to begin building this summer.

?️ZORAN ĐAKOVIĆ MEMORIAL COURT PROJECT?️⁣ ⁣ This project is deeply close to my heart. In loving memory of my former manager Zoran Djakovic, who loved all things nature and basketball, we redesigned a basketball court in Akron. ⁣ ⁣ We blended ethnic motifs, media symbols and sustainable materials as an ode to his legacy. The court utilizes Nike Grind Premier Surface Court materials, Strawberry Energy Smart Solar Benches and all of the artwork is created exclusively with eco-friendly paint. ⁣ ⁣ The court will be open to all young people in Akron, regardless of background, race or struggle, hopefully serving as a source of connection, and inspiration— just like Kiza would’ve wanted.
