2007-2008 Scoring Title

May 18, 2008: Celtics beat Cavaliers 97-92 in Boston Although they were outscored in the second half, the Celtics had built a big enough lead to withstand a 45-point onslaught by LeBron James and win the second round series en route to their 17th NBA championship. The Celtics defeated the Pistons in six games in the conference finals and the Lakers in six games in the finals.

LeBron James won his first and only scoring title this season, averaging precisely 30 points per game.

The Cavs were competitive this season; just coming off a Finals loss to the Spurs, the Cavs looked to seek revenge. Unfortunately; Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and company would knock out the Cavs in game 7 of the ECF despite a 42-point effort by the King.
